Curriculum Enrichment for the Common Era (CE4CE)

The CE4CE website is now live at www.ce4ce.org. It is designed to provide an easily accessible and welcoming public face for the company, and it makes available all teaching resources and educational materials, and provides access to the company's services. The site is kept fresh with news and events, and we hope to make it stronger as we receive more feedback from users.

CE4CE is a groundbreaking educational initiative, working to enrich the curriculum in order to highlight the shared cultural and technological inheritance of humanity. Visit the ‘About Us' page to see The CEO of CE4CE, Maurice Irfan Coles, present a talk on issues in education today and how CE4CE can play a vital role in enriching the curriculum.

Maurice Irfan Coles explains what is meant by 'The Common Era', discusses heritage and its importance to young people, presents the history of CE4CE and explains its values and intentions for the future. The film can also be viewed on YouTube.

The European Muslim Heritage and its Role in the Development of Europe by: Professor Salim Al-Hassani
Professor Salim Al-Hassani

In a keynote lecture pronounced by Professor Salim T S Al-Hassani in September 2003 at the European Parliament in Brussels, he used slides and 3-D animations to outline the impressive heritage which Europe received from the Muslim World which helped trigger the Renaissance. He stressed in particular the need to remember contributions in the development of science and technology in the perspective of building an environment of understanding and mutual appreciation. We publish this text as a vibrant and timely plea for integrating the Muslim dimension into the history of Europe and in particular in the schools' curricula.

In Memoriam: Peter Raymond MBE by: FSTC Team
The Trustees of FSTC: Prof. Salim Al-Hassani, Prof. M. El-Gomati, Peter Fell, Ian Fenn, Mohammed Hafiz, Zeki Poyraz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of our dear friend and colleague Peter Raymond MBE, founding Trustee of The Foundation for Science, Technology and Civilisation (FSTC), the parent organisation of 1001 Inventions and Curriculum Enrichment (CE4CE). Peter also founded and chaired the Muslim Heritage Awareness Group (MHAG) of FSTC, a network that encourages public figures, especially academics, to support the main objectives of the Foundation which are to raise global awareness of the importance and relevance of Muslim heritage and its mostly unacknowledged scientific contributions to current world civilisation and also to promote social cohesion and inter-cultural appreciation through education.
