The fifth issue of Muslim Heritage Newsletter dated March 2010 is online and was diffused to tens of thousands of subscribers around the world. The Newsletter presents an accurate and rich picture of the activities of FSTC during 2009. The most notable event announced is without contest the launch of the Exhibition "1001 Inventions: Muslim Heritage in Our World" at the Science Museum in London in 21 January 2010. The Newsletter devotes an article to this important exhibition, and presents the usual rubrics: an exhaustive list of the New Publications on www.MuslimHeritage.com , and a rich list of Activities and Announcements about past and future activities of FSTC and its members and associates, as well as Muslim Heritage related events.

Science-based organisations and Government need to make greater efforts to engage the public with the sciences, according to a new report ‘Science for All' published on 9 February 2010 by The British Science Association, as part of the UK Science and Society strategy commissioned by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS). The Science for All Group's report, Science for All, was released along with a number of supporting documents.

1001 Inventions Book Continues its Way in the Media: Two Recent Reviews

In the following, we republish two recent and very elogious reviews of 1001 Inventions: Muslim Heritage in Our World published by FSTC in 2006 (Editor-in-Chief Salim al-Hassani). These reviews were published by Carl Kessler in CarlsBooks on 9 July 9 2009 and by Kerim Balci in the Turkish newspaper Today's Zaman on 14 June 2009. They show that the message of the book continues to filter smoothly in the media, giving rise to large adhesion from various circles, and from individuals, all seeking more mutual respect and understanding.
