Abstract - The Status of Research on History of Astronomy in the Arab World
Prof. Hamid Al-Naimiy Abstract My presentation aims to describe the status of research and studies on the History of Astronomy in some Arab countries, with regard to research, studies, translations and manuscript editing, including the research activities in Sharjah (United Arab Emirates, UAE). In addition, I will talk about a proposal for establishing the International Foundation for the History of Sciences, as an independent international, non-profit and legal foundation with an independent budget, and whose headquarters will be hosted at the University of Sharjah, UAE.
