Abstract - Prof. Jim Al-Khalili Opening Session Speech
Prof. Jim Al-Khalili Abstract The UK leads the world in science communication and in engaging with the public on scientific issues, something sadly lacking in the Islamic world. As a British-Iraqi physicist, I am keen to get across the message that while public attitudes to science are culture-dependent, true scientific enquiry transcends such barriers. I will offer a brief perspective on this through my role within the British Science Association and British Council.
